Food & Nutrition Security

Cultivating a Sustainable Future!

We are dedicated to ensuring that no community goes hungry by promoting sustainable agriculture, nutrition education, and innovative food production methods. Our Food & Nutrition Security initiatives are designed to empower young people, farmers, and communities with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to achieve self-sufficiency, resilience, and long-term sustainability.

Through model farms, beekeeping programs, youth engagement, and training centers, we are shaping a new generation of agricultural leaders while enhancing food security across Kenya.

Our Key Initiatives

1. Model Farms – Learning by Doing

To foster hands-on agricultural learning and experiential farming, we have established model farms in different regions across Kenya. These farms serve as learning hubs where students, young farmers, and community members gain practical skills in climate-smart agriculture, sustainable food production, and agribusiness.

📍 Our Model Farms Are Located In:
✅ Kosachei, Uasin Gishu – Specializing in regenerative farming and crop diversification.
✅ Lodokojek, Samburu – Promoting drought-resistant crops and sustainable livestock farming.
✅ Liter, Elgeyo Marakwet – Focused on soil and water conservation techniques for enhanced productivity.

These model farms bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping young learners with real-world agricultural experience while fostering a deep appreciation for farming as a viable career

2. Beekeeping for Sustainability & Economic Empowerment

Beekeeping is more than just honey production—it plays a crucial role in pollination, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable livelihoods. Our beekeeping initiatives provide:
✅ Training in modern beekeeping techniques for young farmers.
✅ Establishment of apiaries in strategic locations to boost honey production.
✅ Market access for beekeepers, ensuring sustainable income generation.
✅ Integration of beekeeping into model farms and community projects to enhance pollination and agricultural productivity.

By promoting climate-smart beekeeping, we are not only enhancing food security but also supporting environmental conservation and youth empowerment through agribusiness.

3. #GettingYouth2Farm – Cultivating the Next Generation of Farmers

With the aging population of farmers and declining interest in agriculture among youth, the #GettingYouth2Farm campaign is designed to:
✅ Inspire young people to view agriculture as a profitable and fulfilling career.
✅ Equip them with skills in climate-smart farming, agribusiness, and digital agriculture.
✅ Provide access to land, mentorship, and financial resources to kickstart their agricultural journey.
✅ Foster youth-led innovation in food production, storage, and distribution.

Through workshops, mentorship programs, and hands-on training at our model farms, we are breaking stereotypes around farming and positioning agriculture as a thriving industry for youth entrepreneurship

4. Incorporating Agriculture in Primary Schools

We believe that early exposure to agriculture is key to developing lifelong interest and expertise. Our school-based agricultural programs:
✅ Integrate practical farming lessons into the curriculum to enhance experiential learning.
✅ Introduce students to modern farming techniques, climate resilience, and agribusiness.
✅ Encourage school-based gardening projects that provide fresh produce for school meals.

By equipping young learners with knowledge and skills in agriculture, we are securing the future of food production and sustainability in Kenya.

5. Centre of Excellence – Training & Equipping Future Agricultural Leaders

Our Centre of Excellence serves as a training hub where young people receive specialized knowledge in:
✅ Climate-smart agriculture and regenerative farming.
✅ Beekeeping and sustainable agribusiness practices.
✅ Innovative food production, storage, and distribution solutions.
✅ Agri-tech and digital tools for modern farming.

Through capacity-building workshops, mentorship programs, and hands-on demonstrations, we are creating a skilled workforce that can drive agricultural transformation in Kenya and beyond.
